My 2017 Goals Bingo Update

We're more than halfway through 2017 already!

So how are you all getting on with your goals for this year?

We're over the halfway mark and I'm doing okay with mine.

I copied my 2017 bingo goal layout from a fellow blogger on Instagram @petitmoi_bigworld and I filled it up with pretty ambitious and not so ambitious goals for this year. I wanted my goals to be both personal and blogging related so that I could develop both sides of my life. If I get a line, I get to buy myself a treat. The whole box? Well, I haven't yet figured that one out, but it'll be special!

As you can see, I am having no problem with reading on fiction books with 7 already this year! Non-fiction, however, I'm so disappointed. I have non-fiction books, I just haven't picked them up. It's really disappointing for me. I'm someone who loves to learn and absorb new information. It's just apparently not happening. So if you have any tips or non-fiction book suggestions, please leave them in the comments below!

Trying 5 new recipes was easy as pie! Pun intended. I tried a lot of new baking recipes and dinner styles within the first few months. That goal was accomplished first. I wish I had extended this one and made it a little more challenging.

Uploading blog posts... *sigh* Okay, so I started off well this year but along the way I got busy and distracted and a bit uninspired. I want to at least post 12 posts and we're doing well! We're sitting on 6, that's half! I know I can do this one, I just have to be less lazy and more proactive.

Increasing my followers on social media as well. Jeez. That one is so much harder than I first realised as well. I was doing well at the start of the year but my progress slowed down quite a bit not long after. Again, any tips, please leave them down below!

My yoga/meditating challenge has only just started. I just started doing yoga but instead of following pictures online, I've been using a yoga youtube channel called Yoga With Adriene. Her videos are so good for me and so varied. Whether I'm looking for a beginners practice or one to help with sleep, she has it and I find her method of teaching and her voice so soothing.

I definitely recommend that if you want to do an exercise, try some yoga. I've never felt so de-stressed. Saying that though, I think my goal of doing it once a week for 3 months was very very ambitious. I'm up to the challenge though! I have fully committed in my own way and bought exercise clothes just for the yoga and a decent yoga mat.

How are your goals coming?

If you've given up or are maybe slacking a bit like me, let this be our wake-up call. We're only halfway through 2017, we still have months to go!

I will post an end of year update and let you guys know how I got on.

What's been your favourite moment of this year so far?

So how are your 2017 goals going? Are you succeeding? Have you given up? Let me know in the comments down below and don't forget to share this post with someone who you think would love it!

  1. The goals I set this year were from my birthday and don't finish until my next birthday. There were 20 goals because next year I turn 20 (scary!) So far though, I have completed about 7 of them and at least started a couple of others. Great post by the way :)

  2. You're doing a lot better with your goals than I am, Adara. I think after reading that, I have some fuel for achieving them... hopefully.

  3. Don't worry hun we all get stuck sometimes, goals don't always go the way we planned and that's ok. If you want tips on increasing following I might be able to help with Instagram :) x

  7. When it comes to goals, we all slack a bit during the year but you've got plenty of time to catch up, just as I have.

I'm with you re: non fiction. I always make a goal to read more of it but it just doesn't happen

  8. I like the bingo layout! Well done on getting some of your goals completed already. I hope you reach them this year. I have set some goals this year on my blog too. I have already reached a few

  9. I think it's a great idea that you have made a list with goals for the year. I should make one as well for next year. As a non-fiction book I can recommend you Maya's Notebook. I loved it so much that I followed the steps of the author in Chile.

  10. I didn't really set myself any blogging goals this year, although I've blogged almost every day and grown my social channels a bit so I'd call that a success x
